Through years of hard work, Haskins Steel Company has become one of the area's largest Metals Service Centers serving Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho, Western Montana, and Northeast Oregon.
Haskins was founded by Roy and Connie Haskins with a vision to become the region's foremost metals service center.
We increased our capacity by expanding Building A to 80,000 square feet by adding bays four and five to the existing structure.
As part of our constant effort to stay at the forefront of industry technology, Haskins introduced an L-Tec plasma table—the first of it’s kind in Spokane.
To grow our forming capabilities, Haskins purchased a 20-foot press brake. This machine allows us to form metal parts up to 20 feet wide, and it’s the same one we use to this day.
We completed our new offices in Building A to accommodate our growing sales and management team.
Building B was added to the Haskins campus, adding 48,000 square feet to our footprint. We call it our 40-foot bay.
To keep up with a steady demand for formed parts, we brought a 16-foot brake press into the lineup.
Building C was added to the east end of the Haskins campus for an additional 54,000 square feet of warehouse space.
We were purchased by American Metals Corporation, a subsidiary of Reliance, Inc.
It was time to update our plasma cutting technology once more, so we acquired the MESSER HD plasma table that now sits in Bay 5 of Building A.
Haskins purchased the Trumpf 3030 Fiber laser, which makes clean, precise cuts and allows for quicker processing.
The Kinetic came on line with plasma cutting, drilling and milling capabilities for more efficient processing of steel plate.
